This dynamic group of dancers is renowned for their fast feet and beautiful costumes. The SIDA dancers have been a part of the proud tradition of Irish dance for the past 7 years. They range from ages 3 to adult, male and female, beginner to advanced, and recreational to competitive. They can be seen often throughout the communities of the Fraser Valley and into Vancouver, performing both traditional and modern Irish step dancing including hardshoe and softshoe, as well as ceili (group) dancing and choreographies. These dancers train hard each week, at three locations, Abbotsford, Maple Ridge and Vancouver.

Our location at the edge of a rushing river is the perfect setting for a river dance. Each day, participants will enjoy four hours of dance training on our rivers edge stage, as well as the enjoyment and camaraderie only a dance camp in the picturesque Fraser Canyon can give!

Downtown Vancouver will come alive as the Edgewater Casino CelticFest Vancouver presents an urban celebration of Celtic culture. The Celtic Fest hosts the ST. Patrick’s Day Parade each year downtown Vancouver, the Fraser Valley Irish Dance Association decorates a float and sends dancers from the Sionnaine Irish Dance Academy to participate in the annual Parade.

Van Eire Traditional Dance Association is a non-profit society dedicated to promoting Irish dance and culture in BC's lower mainland. The Van Eire board is comprised of members from certified Irish Dance Schools from around the Lower mainland, each year the FVIDA sends two representatives to join the Van Eire board.
